Strysles summergigs at Rock um Knuedler, Décke Gas and SPH Trier

Those of you who follow us on our social media channels may have got the news already and we are really looking forward to rock the big lion stage on this year’s well-known Rock um Knuedler. It is one of Luxembourg’s most important music festivals and we have the honour to open the big lion stage at 5 p.m. on 7th July. We will play a nice short set with our best-of songs (and maybe one new never-played-before-song ;) ).

There are also a lot of musicians friends playing after us and on other stages. Be sure to check out the timetable at the official Rock um Knuedler website.

But first – you can join us on coming sunday, 1st July for Décke Gas an der Gaass festival in Canach for a more cosy music festival and musicians’ meeting. Our playtime will be around 7 p.m.

Last summer gig will be in Trier at Exhaus for the SPH Bandcontest. We won the first round last March, now on 28th July we will try to convince the jury and the people once again for the second round. So we need you to come and vote for us :-) [EDIT: We have also won the town finals to the next round, but we resigned from further participating in the contest.]

Bye Ben, Welcome Steve!

Bye Ben

Those who came to our concert last Saturday at “Little Woodstock Café” already got the news: We have to announce a personnel change. Ben, our drummer, has decided to leave the band and last Saturday was his last concert with Strysles. And we did have a lot of fun. Yeah! Thank you Ben for everything. Keep rocking man! :-) \m/

Welcome Steve

So let’s introduce to you our new man on the drums: Mr. Steve Krippler. I’m sure he is no stranger to most of you out there. Steve has been playing drums since he was 9 years old and has been studying drums at the Conservatory of Music in Luxembourg City. In 2010 he won the contest “De beschten Drummer vu Lëtzebuerg”. (Still the best as this contest has never been repeated ;) )

His previous projects included: Coverband Diesel on Tour, Coverband Toxic, Big Band Spectrum and Folk-Rock Band Dream Catcher.

Currently Steve is also busy playing drums in his wife’s projects, Emilie Duval, her project “Tribute to Céline Dion” and “Tribute to the Divas”, as well as an independant drummer.

And now welcome to the universe of Strysles. Steve’s first complete gig with us will be already this Friday at Musicfest, Victor Hugo Hall, a special Unplugged Session. Next year will be a busy Strysles year. *Exciting*
